9am - 5pm, with final admission at 4pm daily
All military personnel and their dependent family members receive FREE admission to the Zoo and the Mann Wildlife Learning Museum. Food, drinks and refreshments are also provided. Thank you for proudly serving.

MILITARY APPRECIATION DAYS TAKE FULL SWING JUNE 12-13
MONTGOMERY ZOO (Montgomery, AL): All active duty and their immediate dependent family are invited to visit the Montgomery Zoo for FREE on Military Appreciation Days, June 12-13, 2024. The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Montgomery, the Wright Flyers, Montgomery County Commission, and the Montgomery Zoo partner to hold this annual event that recognizes our nation’s men and women in military services.
Military Appreciation Days admission includes: (for registered military personnel and dependent family members)
- Admission to the Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum
- One (1) complimentary train ride
- Entry to Waters of the World from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Entry to Parakeet Cove from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Entry to Reptile Facility
- Daily Keeper Talk at 10:30am and 1:30pm
Additional adventures and attractions:
- Train ride: $3 per person
- Giraffe Encounter: $3 per person
- Sky Lift Ride: $5 per person
- Parakeet feed sticks: $2 per stick
Military ID is required to gain entry.
