Home zoo MenuFundraisers
The Montgomery Zoo and Mann Wildlife Learning Museum hosts four fundraisers per year. These various fundraisers aid in the collection of funds to aid in the improvement and expansion of the Zoo. Fundraisers in the past of have allowed to the Zoo to add such attractions as:
- African Elephant exhibit,
- North America River Otter aquatic display and boardwalk,
- American Alligator habitat,
- Parakeet Cove,
- Zoofari Skylift Ride Adventure,
- and Waters of the World, our newest addition.
OUR CURRENT PROJECT: Currently, we are raising funds to design and construct a new reptile facility. This new exhibit will feature signature animals including; the critically endangered Indian Gharial, King Cobra, Komodo Dragon, and Galapagos Tortoise. Not only are we raising funds to bring these incredible animals to Montgomery, but we are also contributing to conservation efforts to help these endangered and threatened animals in wild. Helping out is simple, support the Montgomery Zoo and our conservation efforts by contributing and by attending our annual fundraising events, like those listed below.
Zoo Weekend - Spring event
Held in the Spring of the year, the Zoo has been presenting this annual fundraiser for over 40+ years. The Zoo is converted into a carnival-like environment with live entertainment, games, rides, concessions, and animals from around the world. Everyone can enjoy the many activities, fantastic food, and have fun together at an affordable price. It is also an excellent opportunity to take advantage of discounted memberships. Members receive FREE admission to the event. Game tickets, ride tickets, and animal encounter tickets are an additional fee. These tickets can be purchased in kiosks located throughout the Zoo.
Zoobilation - end of Summer event
This end of Summer evening event is held in September and hosted by the Montgomery Area Zoological Society, the fundraising arm of the Zoo. This adult-only annual fundraiser is one of the must-attend regional social events of the season. Enjoy an evening of luxury dining, live music, dancing under the stars, and try your luck out with the digital auctions. All proceeds are contributed to the Zoo’s special projects fund. Past Zoobilations have built the African elephant exhibit, the North American River Otter habitat, the Alligator exhibit, the Zoofari Skylift Adventure ride, and Stingray Bay, our newest exhibit addition.
Christmas Lights Festival - Winter event
The Montgomery Zoo’s Christmas Lights Festival is a holiday and family tradition embedded deep into the River Region community. The holiday event provides guests the opportunity to leisurely stroll about the Zoo gazing at the thousands of seasonal, sparkling lights illuminating the Montgomery Zoo annually. Shapes of animals, Christmas themes, and music fill the Zoo with awe and wonder. Climb aboard the Winterland Express for a brisk train ride or see the Zoo from atop on the Zoofari Skylift Adventure Ride to delight the soul and eyes with visions of the wonderful holiday season. Enjoy live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, gifts, and pictures with Santa nightly (Santa's last night at the Zoo is December 23). Christmas Lights Festival is open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Night.
